Melhor, como se diz na linguagem popular: todo corno é um homem de sorte.

A frase bem poderia ser do nosso gênio centenário, o tio Nelson Rodrigues.

Mas é do Bodinho mesmo, o bravo contínuo que conheci no “Jornal do Commercio”, na invicta cidade do Recife.

Por simples onda ou blague (leia-se “gréia”, como se diz em Pernambuco), Bodinho se dizia, ainda no madrugador ano de 1982, o presidente da Cornobrás, uma suposta estatal dos chifres.

Lembro de Bodinho ao fazer agora uma leitura enviesada, por dever de ofício do cronista de costumes, do Cachoeiragate.

Repare quem vem a ser o substituto do Demóstenes no Senado. Justamente o cara que perdeu a mulher para o sr. Cachoeira: Wilder Pedro de Morais, outro milionário lá do sertão de Goiás.

Wilder foi marido de Andressa Mendonça, a musa da CPI. Quis o destino que a desgraça do seu atual marido fosse a felicidade do ex.

É, amigo, todo escândalo político no Brasil envolve uma história amorosa ou de sacanagem desse naipe.

Melhor: toda história é feita de sexo ou dinheiro.

Cobri várias CPI´s, desde o Collorgate, e bem sei disso.

O estranho é quando uma esculhambação política não tem uma Sodoma & Gomorra por trás. Sempre tem. Aposto todas as minhas fichas na vida como ela é, sou um shakespereano do Crato.

O que foi o Collorgate senão uma repetição tropical do episódio bíblico de Caim x Abel. Fernando x Pedro Collor. Com direito a boatos de traição amorosa no meio.

Pedro, que Deus o tenha,  queria dinheiro, renda e o poder em algumas estatais nordestinas, pelo menos.  Nada teve. Ao contrário de PC Farias e do irmão mais velho, Leopoldo Collor, que ganhou as benesses federais no interior de São Paulo, com uma possível sociedade com o empresário Egberto Batista, por suposto.

Pedro, que ouviu mais de três negativas do Caim alagoano, pôs abaixo a República ao abrir a boca para o repórter Luis Costa Pinto, de “Veja”, como sabemos.

Antes, pela mesma história passaram, com papéis importantíssimos, motoristas, secretárias, mordomos etc.

Não há escândalo apenas político ou financeiro, limpo do drama da vida. As belas meninas de Jeany Mary Corner, a cafetina cratense que fez a festa dos governos FHC e Lula em Brasília, são provas carnais da história.

Agora sim, tio Nelson, para passar a régua: “O Corno não devia ser o último a saber. O corno não devia saber nunca !” Este cronista, experiente no assunto, que o diga.
