E não é que deu certo!

Algum leitor mais antigo deste cronista inviável deve lembrar do apelo do Amaro, um homem com o coração partido –havia sido trocado por um canalha.

A mulher voltou para ele, depois de quatro meses. Só agora, porém, ao encontrá-lo ontem no box do Pelado, no mercado de Casa Amarela, no Recife, Amaro contou o desfecho.

O simpático proprietário do estabelecimento fazia as honras com o seu impagável repertório. Cantávamos justamente este vinil aí acima, do genial piauiense Roberto Muller

Está feliz o homem. Queria que você visse. E qual foi o diabo do meu conselho? Reproduzo, a pedido do próprio. “É serviço utilidade pública”, diz.

Eis o que havia escrito para o nosso amigo:`

O leitor aflito me escreve. Quer ajuda, conselhos, alguma filosofia de consolação, ombro, ouvidos… Invoco a Miss Corações Solitários que costuma fazer morada nesta pobre caveira envelhecida em barris de bálsamo.

Não posso deixá-lo a mascar o jiló do abandono. Está desconsolado, como o Sizenando de Rubem Braga, que viu a amada cair nos braços de um playboy. Um idiota que não sabia sequer uma palavra de esperanto.

A vida é triste, Sizenando, como soprou o cronista.

Com Amaro, chamemos assim o nosso ensaio de Bentinho, não foi diferente.

Quis o destino parafusar-lhe objetos pontiagudos à testa.

Sim, ela tem um amante. Daqueles amantes que se encontram à tarde, num intervalo qualquer, no recreio da vida chata.

Nem foi preciso contratar o detive particular, conta-me o nosso Amaro. Ele mesmo fez as vezes de cão farejador de sua própria desgraça.

Que fazer?, indaga, num email no qual até a arroba bóia em poças de lágrimas.

Mato o desgraçado?

Tiro a vida da desalmada?

Vou-me embora pra Tegucigalpa?

Salto mortal da ponte Buarque de Macedo?

Um trágico, esse rapaz. Como os de antigamente. Amaro é do tempo em que os homens coravam. Ainda tenho vergonha na cara, envaidece-se o próprio.

Sossega, Amaro.

O melhor que fazes, respondi ao marido em fúria, é sumir por uns dias, inventar uma viagem, e dar todo tempo do mundo ao infeliz desse amante.

Banalizar o amante, meu caro e bom Amaro.

Entendeste?

Deixar que eles durmam e acordem juntos. Que tenham seus problemas, que percam o luxo dos encontros vespertinos, que se esbaldem.

É necessário deixar a Bovary sentir o bafo matinal da rotina.

A vida dos amantes dura porque eles só vivem as surpresas e valorizam cada minuto do relógio que põem sobre a cabeceira daquele motel barato.

Nada mais cruel para o amante da tua mulher que presenteá-lo com o pão-com-manteiga do dia-a-dia. A rotina é o cavalo de tróia do amor.

Amaro, nada de violência ou besteiras desse naipe.

Ao amante, todas as chances do mundo. Ao amante aquela D.R., a famosa discussão de relação, em plena TPM.

Um amante nunca sabe o que venha ser uma mulher sob o domínio da TPM. Ela faz questão de reservar todos os direitos desse ciclo ao pobre marido.

Ao amante, Amaro, a tapioca fria e sem recheio da rotina do calendário.

Ao amante, Amaro, a falta de assunto.

Ao amante, os cabelos revoltos da mulher, naqueles dias em que nem mesmo ela se agüenta ou encara o espelho. Naqueles dias em que os cabelos brigam com as leis do cosmo e não há pente ou diabo que dê jeito.
