São Marcos,o santo que deu origem à data

Hoje é dia dos Cornos. Por mais que este blog/almanaque folclorize e tenha uma queda por datas exóticas, a celebração é séria, com farta tradição católica desde a idade Média.

O festejo dos maridos traídos sempre foi comemorado no dia de São Marcos. Oficialmente desde meados do século XVIII. Principalmente em plagas portuguesas e espanholas.

Aí começou essa liga simbólica entre o chifre e a traição.

A todo 25 de abril, em procissão, os fiéis levavam ao altar do santo do dia uma coroa com um corno de animal na ponta. Em missa, os vigários coroavam os homens casados. Que bênção!

O costume católico, óbvio, virou logo uma fuleragem profana e hoje é quase um subgênero dentro da nossa música romântica. Meu amigo Reginaldo Rossi que o diga.

Chifre também é cultura.

Em homenagem a todos nós, que um dia fomos ou serenos cornos, vos digo: só um chifre humaniza um macho, repito aqui o velho mantra deste cronista vagabundo.

Vale também a filosofia de parachoque: um homem sem chifres é um animal desprotegido.

Só um chifre humaniza a macheza.

Um chifre daqueles bem parafusados pelo destino na fronte do artista. Nem que seja apenas como arma de vingança, como diz a canção do gênio potiguar Carlos Alexandre.

Um chifre daqueles que nos faz furar o LP com “Stephanie Says”, do Velvet, ou nos põe como a última das criaturas, ao sentir as batidas dos pingos da tempestade contra a vidraça.

Outra boa canção para o dia que celebramos: Tom Waits com “This One’s From The Heart”, aquela do fundo coração, o filme de Francis Ford Coppola, trilha sonora permanente deste blog.

A seguir, a fita cassete o “Fino do Corno” ou “As canções que você tocou para mim”. Ei-las:

-“Les Amours Perdues”, do cafa Serge Gainsbourg, na vitrola, pode ser?

– “Por que me arrasto aos teus pés”,de Roberto e Eramos, sofre miserável!

– “No toca fita do meu carro”, do Bartô Galeno, arrocha!

– “Atrás da porta”, do xará Francisco, “só pra mostrar que ainda sou tua”.

– “Negue”, do Adelino Moreira, mas com o drama que só a Maria Bethânia sabe injetar na parada. “Que eu mostro a boca molhada,ainda marcada…”

– Lupicínio entra com umas dez no cassete.  haja dor-de-cotovelo. Mas fiquemos com “Nervos de aço”.

E chega. Como diz aquele programa da Igreja Universal: pare de sofrer. Hoje é dia de comemorar.
