Toda vez que vejo essas matérias do tipo “como chegar a um milhão aos 55 anos”, era o caso desta de hoje na Folha, lembro de uma carta do escritor e psicanalista Hélio Pellegrino ao seu amigo Fernando Sabino:

“Investi na amizade, no capital erótico, e não me arrependo. A salvação está em você se dar, se aplicar aos outros. A única coisa não perdoável é não fazer. É preciso vencer esse encaramujamento narcísico, essa tendência à uteração, ao suicídio. Ser curioso. Você só se conhece conhecendo o mundo. Somos um fio nesse imenso tapete cósmico. Mas haja saco!”

Pellegrino acabara de fazer 60 anos. E tirava a buena onda mineira com a vida. Foi Antonia, sua neta, que primeiro me relatou essa história. Como já era amante platônico da sabedoria do avô, caí de amores pela igualmente sábia netinha carioca aos 22. Daí vivemos o nosso belo amor possível.

Voltemos ao essencial, que está aqui, ó: investi no capital erótico. Investi no amor, no ensaio de amor, no amor da vida ou no amor da quinzena, no amor do vez-em-quando, no amor ponte-aérea, no amor bêbado inconsequente que se revela com o o sol por testemunha(quem é você mesmo, baby?, sinto que te amo!)

Falo da matéria de hoje, do milhão aos 55, para evitar maiores humilhações a todos nós. O correto, na falta de noção norte-americana, é o primeiro milhão aos 30 anos. Um milhão na conta e zero de saldo erótico-amoroso.
